Dr. Tangirala completed her residency training at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center/RWJ Barnabas, New Jersey and is board-certified in Internal Medicine/Primary Care. She pursued her fellowship training at Mount Sinai Hospital/Icahn School of medicine at Mount Sinai in general internal medicine which involved research work in chronic medical conditions under NIH grant, and graduated with a Masters in Public Health. She also simultaneously worked at the outpatient clinic at Mount Sinai as an attending and participated in precepting/teaching medical residents. She has over 5 years of experience in primary care practice. At Avant Medical Group, Dr. Tangirala accepts patients 19 years of age and older, and is currently accepting new patients for comprehensive health evaluation, including annual physicals, women’s wellness visits, thyroid and other endocrine disorders, anemia, obesity/weight loss consultations and mental health disorders including anxiety and depression. Her philosophy is to deliver high quality care that focuses on disease prevention with early detection and promotion of general wellness by developing personalized care plans for her patients. She deeply cares for her patient’s health and wellness, is a strong advocate for her patients and is actively involved in navigating and coordinating patient care with other physicians and medical facilities.
